Happy Spring!!!

April Showers are Here

Good-Bye
This is my 20th year in Park Hill School District and I wanted to let you know that I have decided to retire at the end of the 2015-2016 school year. I have turned in my resignation at the District Office. Therefore, your children will have a different ESL teacher next year which will be decided upon this summer. It has been a privilege and pleasure to know and teach your child/children and I wish them the very best. I know I will miss them very much.

In April
In the first part of April my first through fifth graders will be taking the Tera Nova tests.

Testing

We will be testing students in
Communication Arts (reading, writing, listening) Math, Science and Social Studies.
The children have worked hard.

Later this month the third fourth and fifth graders will be taking the MAP test.

I so enjoyed visiting with so many of you March 31st at Hawthorn's Spring Showcase. I know my students enjoyed sharing their community cards and they have learned a lot preparing them.

Kindergarten Enrollment

Children who turn five on or before July 31
are eligible for kindergarten
for the 2015-2016 school year.

Enrollment
is Monday through Friday,
between 7:45 a.m. and 4 p.m.
between
now and May 1st
at your local elementary.

Kindergarten Round up will be
May 5th

You and your child may tour tour the building,
ask questions, meet the staff
and see the kindergarten rooms.

Parents will need to bring their children's
1) birth certificate,
2) immunization records and
3)two proofs of residency to enroll.
(One proof of residency must be a lease or mortgage agreement.
The other should be an original and current gas, electric or water bill
on which the name and address are provided.)
