I would like to introduce myself to my new families. This will be my 20th year in the Park Hill School District working with ESL students. In the past I have also worked in Salinas, California and the Blue Springs School District as well.

I love working with ESL students because it is so exciting and rewarding to see my students grow in their understanding of the English Language and I learn so much from my students and families about their cultures.

I think I have the best job in the district.

I also believe Park Hill has a wonderful ESL program and all the ELL teachers work closely together to make our program one of the best in Missouri.

I think computers are very beneficial to learning so
I have created a web site for my ELL students and families. It includes links to useful ELL sites on the web as well as information on the themes that we will be studying.

Our books are alligned with Common Core this year.

It is called Reach by National Geographic/Cengage Learning.

Reach is based on themes that are pertinent to particular grade levels.

A general overview can be found on the internet
as well as
goal vocabulary

about the topic.
