Born in Dayton Ohio. Lived there until she was 13 with her parents and brother, when her dad, an engineer,  was transferred to Michigan.  Moved again at the age of 15 to Missouri where she met her husband in high school.  Went to college, worked in a restaurant, factory and retail store. Got married to the love of her life during college, graduated, had a son and moved to California.  Lived there while her husband learned how to read, write and speak Chinese for the army.  She taught first graders and EMR in California.  Moved again to Maryland while her husband was in the service.  Had a daughter. Then moved back to Missouri, raised her children and took care of her invalid mother. Moved to the east side of the state. Then moved back to the west side of the state. Later began subbing, teaching third graders and ESL students in her home town. In the evenings she also worked in China and Gifts in a Department store.  Got her masters and joined Park Hill's staff.  Has 2 granddaughters and a grandson.  Active member of CCCC and  Delta Kappa Gamma and the DAR (Daughter's of the American Revolution). Former member of Beta Sigma Phi and Delta Zeta.
Enjoys listening to music, reading and traveling but especially enjoys meeting with the
Wednesday Night Card and Social Club.

Has been to 50 states and 18 countries. Collects nutcrackers, CC and spoons from her travels. 
Has two cats and two granddogs.
