December 2015

I have ordered Finish Line Books by Continental Press and am patiently waiting for them to arrive as they have excellent examples to work from which will help my students take the ACCESS test in January and February.  We were informed the testing window will be between January 19th-February 19th.  If they arrive before break, I will send them home so you can look at them and help your students with the reading and writing sections.

It will include speaking, listening, reading and writing practice tests.

In class we will also play some games to help us remember our

BAV Communication Arts words.

Kindergarten will continue to work in their Reach Books.
They will be learning about farms and farm animals and their babies.
They will also learn about animal parts, the sounds they make and their actions.
The big question is What are farm animals like?
They should know these sight words thus far.

I have sent home cards and booklets to practice reading these words.

I have enlarged the sight words so you can print and cut them out and play games with them to help them learn these words.
